This is also a group that has been very successful despite limited radio airplay and much mainstream press, making them a group that has been triumphant simply because of the quality of their tunes and no other significant factors other than touring. But Odesza seems to add a little magic to their remixes, and there’s certainly nothing wrong with a good old fashioned mash-up in art, media or even for extended play purposes to re-introduce more novelty value into something. All it takes is the altering, removing, adding or subtracting of something to create a ‘new’ product that you generally didn't create in the first place. This group is big on remixes, and I’m usually not big on posting remixes because, to me, it’s literally the easiest thing you can do with music.
I’ll go months at a time without hearing any of their tunes and then one will come up randomly on a streaming service like Pandora, which I always seem to enjoy. This is one of those bands that keeps on finding me rather than the other way around.
